April Alliance Meeting: April 20th 2-4:30 p.m. - A Tour of the European-Influenced B&B's of Lake Lure

Three countries in two hours…without leaving Rutherford County. Have you ever been on a Fam? This month, our meeting format will be a little different. A Fam is a familiarization tour, a visit to a location within our county that you want to know more about, an attraction that might surprise you, or a hidden gem that you didn’t know existed.

This month, join us as we take a mini-fam – a tour the European-influenced B&B’s of Lake Lure. (And eat a little along the way!) The lodging property owners will be on hand for the tours and to discuss packaging opportunities with you.

We look forward to sharing and exploring new locations with you. Contact Jackie Wallace, Visitor Information Specialist, to sign up for this tour and learn more about what our county has to offer. We will leave from the Lake Lure visitor’s center at 2:00 and be finished by 4:30.

It may seem like spring has just arrived in the mountains, but we are already looking ahead toward ourfall event season, “Experience the Autumn Peaks”. Event Seasons are a unique marketing product offered by the TDA to collectively promote seasonal events in Rutherford County and in the county overall as a tourism destination.

Short Survey - Big Impact

We need your input to understand and develop better ways to serve you. We have extended the time to take the survey until April 16th. A crucial step in strategic planning, we want to know what you think about the TDA, the work we do, and the services we offer. We need as much input as possible. Package & Coupon Assistance

Interested in cross-marketing, combining marketing efforts, or creating custom packages with other Alliance members? The TDA is currently collecting information on packages and coupons offered by Alliance members. This is a twofold effort. One, we want to be able to share your promotions though our web site and other appropriate mediums. Two, we want to connect you with other Alliance members with whom who you can collaborate and create mutually beneficial relationships.

We have had a great response and our database is well underway. If you have not already done so, please submit your information to Crystal Millwood. Listings will be available for your review soon on the Alliance web site (link to Alliance page). Make sure to send your contact information along with a description of the coupons and packages you are offering.
